Tap an empty square. Your first tile is placed and immediately replaced.
Match two: sprout → grass → rabbit → fox → deer → zebra → buffalo → wolf → bear → lion → tiger → elephant. The progression is a discovery path; diets are shown below.
Growth lands beside the next rung if it can, so the chain keeps going; otherwise it stays on an existing matching tile. Ties use topmost, then leftmost. Empty squares show what your tile will grow into. Hold a square, hover, or focus it to see the path and final landing square. Release a tap to plant. Later chain steps clear all blockers touching the merging group.
Herbivores eat grass or sprouts. Foxes eat rabbits or plants. Wolves hunt rabbits, foxes, deer and zebras. Bears prefer grass, then rabbits or deer. Lions and tigers hunt foxes, deer, zebras and buffalo. Animals eat only when hungry, and they take an animal from your hand before one you grew — place a dealt rabbit or fox beside a hungry hunter to save your build. Feeding creates space and scores points.
An elephant stands on a 2×2 block — four squares. It arrives at full size and flattens whatever was standing there, so it always finds room. An elephant ignores plants. It takes animals you grew by merging — marked with a purple dot from the tiger onward. It also gets hungry about two and a half times faster than anything else, and pays four times a normal meal. Reach it with raised animals in reserve, or it leaves bones.
Spring deals only sprouts and grass. From summer, a few rabbits join your hand, and from autumn a few foxes. Raise a zebra and both arrive at once, whatever the season. Once winter deepens, more rabbits and foxes arrive, along with deer, zebras and buffalo. Nothing above the buffalo is ever dealt: from the wolf to the elephant, every animal is earned by merging.
Over time, stones arrive more often and plants gradually fade sooner. Winter keeps getting harder, up to Winter 5. Growth and meal points rise from ×1 to ×8 before the score scale is applied. Watch the countdown, and merge beside blockers to clear them. A full board ends the run; waiting alone earns no points.
Few meadows ever raise an elephant. The one that does wins a jackpot far bigger than any other move, and the meadow stops to celebrate. Big animals from the wolf up can wait twice as long for food while you build their partner. Chains, simultaneous meals and seasons multiply your other points.
